The Loudoun County High School varsity swimming teams concluded their season at the VHSL 4A State Championships over the weekend at SwimRVA in Richmond, VA. The Raiders and Lady Raiders both had an outstanding meet. The Raiders finished the weekend with 134 points to claim 8th place out of 28 scoring teams and the Lady Raiders ended the meet with 38 points to claim 17th place out of 24 scoring teams. The Raiders and Lady Raiders combined to break 3 school records during the championship meet. Junior Lexie Vanderloo lowered her own school record in the 200-yard Freestyle with a time of 1:55.31 while swimming to 4th place in the event. The Boys 200-yard Freestyle Relay team of Gavin Wagner (Jr.), Colby Koenig (Sr.),  Shane Hunter (Sr.), and J.P. Vanderloo (Fr.) broke their own school record touching in 6th place with a time of 1:30.13. Wagner (Jr.) then went on to break his school record in the 100-yard Backstroke swimming to 4th place with a time of 52.04.  A few additional highlights from the meet: 13th place -Boys 200-yard Medley Relay - 1:54.97  Aho,Hamilton,Durot,Cranfield (finals) Maskelnko, Olsen, Hays, Nadeau (prelims) 14th place - Boys 200-yard Individual Medley - 2:03.21 - J.P.
