The Loudoun County Athletic Department is pleased to announce Tim Lucas as the new Head Varsity Girls’ Soccer Coach. Lucas replaces Olivia Mackey who will pursue her Doctorate in Kinesiology at West Virginia University in the Fall. Lucas brings a wealth of soccer knowledge to the Raiders having coached at the high school, club, and collegiate level.
Lucas is currently the goalkeeper coach for the Girls ECNL program and coaches’ various boys’ teams for Loudoun Soccer Club. He served as Director of Coaching for the Prince William Soccer Club from 2016-2018 where his responsibilities included the creation of club curriculum, college recruiting, sponsorship and working collaboratively with the VA Premier League of the National Premier League. Lucas held the same position from 2013-2016 for Jacksonville Youth Soccer Club in Florida. Lucas has served as on ODP Coach for both US Youth Soccer and United Soccer Leagues since 2014. In addition, Lucas spent time as the Director of Goalkeeping for the Penn State Fusion Soccer Academy and West Chester United SC. Lucas served as an assistant coach at Bishop O’Connell High School and Saint Joseph’s University and has worked as a USSF Coaching Education Instructor since 2007.
